Feel like jamming up to some new tracks this week? Here are some songs from our playlist you should consider!
1. Qveen Herby – Busta Rhymes
Everyone’s favorite pop duo have reinvented themselves yet again. This time Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan are stripping the alternative sound of Karmin and going for an edgier sound with Qyeen Herby. Qveen Herby, their new Hip Hop heavy R&B project, has taken off in the right direction with its first single, Busta Rhymes. The sound has all the bass heavy attitude that we have come to love from Amy and some pop/hip hop blurry production that Nick has mastered how to produce. This new project is all the experiment sonic ear candy you need this new week.

2. Funbi – Hallelujah
Lush vocals, clean production and inspirational, but catchy, lyrics makes Funbi’s Hallelujah a must have for your music library. Funbi makes alternative sound so pure and universal. The combination of lyrics and production is so organic and memorable, you will have the song on repeat for a while.
3. Fifth Harmony – Deliver
Fifth Harmony are going above and beyond to prove that they are doing well without their former member, Camilla Cabello. Going by the sound of their latest single, Deliver, we have to say life after Camilla is not so bad. Radio friendly as usual, there is no denying the pure sass and attitude that drives the vocals and atmosphere of this song. If you’re looking for the song to strut to, then Deliver is your tune.

4. SIMI – O Wa N’be
One of the stand out tracks from Simi’s debut effort, Simisola, O Wa N’be is a single ready jam. Written in Simi’s usual comic storytelling style, the alternative track will have you singing along and grooving in no time at all. If you want to listen to a track that will draw you into listening to the entire album, this one will do the trick.
5. Sam Smith – Too Good At Goodbyes
The heartbreak master is back! Smith released his official new single, Too Good At Goodbyes, on September 8 and it is our new favorite ballad. Although its a bit brighter than Stay With Me, ‘Goodbye’ has all the elements that made ‘Stay’ a hit. The heart tugging lyrics, the simple production, the mellow vocals and of course, Sam Smith’s choir. We are overdue for a Sam Smith album and this song has our hopes high.
6. TENI – Fargin
It started as a freestyle to Olisa Odebe’s soundtrack but then it went viral and made Teni a star. Fans of the viral personality will be pleased that Teni has actually gone to the studio with producer, Mystro, to create a studio track for ‘Fargin’. The song is all the ear worm you wished it would be and more. Teni will have you grooving listen after listen.
7. Demi Lovato – You Don’t Do It For Me Anymore
We are ending this week with your favourite new pop ballad. Just when it seemed we forgot how amazing Demi Lovato is a vocalist, she decided to remind us. ‘Anymore’, which is a single from her upcoming album, ‘Tell Me You Love Me’, is a step down from her previous single, ‘Sorry Not Sorry’, tempo wise but musically, its more stunning. Grab your tissues and Ice Cream and let Demi remind you how beautiful heart ache can be.
