Speaking after the draw yesterday, Aruna Quadri who seeded number 1 in the tournament, predicted that the Nigerian contingent to the 2017 ITTF Challenge in Lagos will win the tournament.
The Nigeria Star said “I believe it is Nigeria’s time to win the tournament. It may not be me”.
Quadri said he recognized the fact that expectations among fans are high, as the tournament has players from 22 countries participating.
“Expectations are high and we want to be good ambassadors of Nigeria. As for me. I want to give my best, whether I lose or win”, he said.
As Aruna seeded number 1, an Egyptian star, Assar Omar seeded 64 and other Nigerians, Abiodun Bode, 8, Onaolapo Ojo, 9 and many others.
