1. Dangerous By Jennifer Hudson – For all of you out there looking for a good old R&B track with an old school feel, this is the song for you. Taken from her 2014 album, JHUD, Dangerous might not have received the necessary heat it deserved as a single but this doesn’t make any less of a great jam.
2. Temptation By Adekunle Gold – Adekunle’s signature sound finds new life in this edgy track off his debut album, Gold. The storytelling style works right along with the soft “nothing to prove” production. Listen after listen, the track will definitely grow on you.
3. In Common – We are still not sure when Alicia Keys is going to drop her next album, however, with a single as popping as In Common, she has us salivating. Breezy vocals, sleek production, catchy hook, black and white music video; what else could you ask for? The single packs a full punch and should definitely be a common name come award season.
4. Turn Up By Olamide – Olamide is now the master of making live performance ready hits. Before Olamide claimed this crown for himself, however, he was known for making raw street hip hop jams. Turn Up is without a doubt the song that helped him transition from that hardcore sound to a softer, but edgy, pop one. Anyday, anytime, Turn Up brings the party to the party.
Please let’s endeavor to cultivate the habit of purchasing music. There is a whole team of people that is slied when we decide not to legally purchase a song or album.
